Welcome to the City of Fredericton 2009 River Watch web page
With the annual Spring thaw under way, the City of Fredericton's Emergency Measures Organization is actively monitoring water levels in the St. John River. As we saw in 2008, the arrival of Spring brings the potential for serious flooding in low-lying areas of the City.
Being prepared is the key to reducing home and property damage and minimizing the impact of a flood. On this page you will find helpful information and links to agencies and organizations that can assist City residents to get safely through a major disaster and recover as quickly as possible. There are also links to brochures, websites and contact information that can help you take charge of your own safety and well-being as the first line of defence against any disaster.
Check out the links under RELATED CONTENT for additonal helpful information and check back here often for the latest flood information.
