Greg Ericson

Greg Ericson is a former business owner and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in the service industry as an investor, owner, operator, manager and front line service worker across more than a dozen firms.

Greg is a proud graduate from UNB with a Bachelor of Arts; Honours in Philosophy and Military History in 1992, and has received a Diploma in University teaching from UNB in 2009, a Lean Six Sigma Championship certification from UNB in 2013 and Pension Trustee certification for Shared Risk Pension Board from UNB in 2014. Most recently, he has been working towards attaining a Masters of Philosophy focusing on Public Policy and Interdisciplinary Evidence Based Research and Design.

Councillor Ericson was first elected to Fredericton City Council in May 2012 and is now currently serving his second four-year term representing the people of Ward 8. His past Council experience includes acting as Chair of the Public Safety & Environment Committee, Co-Chair of the Mayor’s Working Committee on Community /University Relations and sitting on the Mayor’s Task Force on Syrian Government Assisted Refugee Settlement.

Greg lives in the Skyline Acres area with his wife, Dr. Nicole Coleen O’Byrne, a Professor of Law at UNB.
