Unsung Hero Awards
These awards are meant to honor citizens of Fredericton who give of themselves behind the scenes so that our many recreational, leisure, youth, church, sport and other groups can continue to flourish. If you are aware of any individual(s) in your ward (or the City in general) that you would like to nominate for these awards please contact the Facility Coordinator.
Summer 2007 - Mayors Activity Awards
Earn your Bronze, Silver or Gold Awards! Get active and have fun!
This free activity and healthy eating program for youth 4 - 14 years of age, runs from July 2nd to August 24th. Select activities and collect points - awards are earned based on the number of points you can collect. Youth have many options to choose from, points are based on the level of difficulty of the items. Awards will be distributed at a ceremony in early September.
Sample Awards Items:
- Go for a ten minute run (2 points)
- Try a new active game (2 points)
- Do 50 jumping jacks (2 points)
- Have a "junk food" free week (10 points)
