In addition to ensuring the safety of buildings, the Building Inspection and By-Law Enforcement Division is responsible for general By-Law enforcement. The By-Law Enforcement Officers enforce By-Laws respecting smoking, nuisances, unsightly premises, taxis, noise, and animals.
