Good Neighbours / Good Neighbourhood Sub Committee
In response to a number of incidents that occurred in the College Hill Neighbourhood in the fall of 2007, a Good Neighbours / Good Neighbourhood Sub Committee was formed as part of the Mayor's Working Committee on Community/University Relations. Mayor's Working Committee on Community/University Relations
The Mayor's Working Committee on Community/University Relations is mandated to foster better communication between the City of Fredericton and its two Universities for the purpose of generating greater opportunities for the community as a whole. The Committee comprises interested stakeholders with representation from City Council, the City Administrator's Office, the Universities, Downtown Business and Citizens at Large. The Mayor, and both University presidents are ex-officio members.
The Committee meets on an as-needed basis to explore issues of common interest or concern to the community as a whole. In its role as an advisory group, the Committee discusses solutions to community/university issues and makes recommendations to City Council and/or the Universities on a wide variety of interests and issues such as:
