Flood Resilience

The City of Fredericton will host two community conversations regarding planning efforts relating to Flood Mitigation and Resiliency.

Residents and business owners who have been affected by flooding and community groups with an interest in the topic are invited to share their experiences and flood mitigation ideas with a panel of senior staff and subject matter experts at two upcoming sessions.

  • Tuesday, July 30, Fredericton Convention Centre (670 Queen Street) from 2pm - 7pm. 
  • Thursday, August 15, Ramada Inn (480 Riverside Drive, Lower St. Mary’s) from 5pm - 9pm. Download agenda here: Agenda

Through ongoing research, planning and work, the City has identified the four major risk areas that continue to create many of the impacts associated with flooding.  They include:

  • Key Transportation Infrastructure
  • Municipal Infrastructure 
  • Local Watershed Resilience
  • Property Flood Risk Mitigation
