Call for Submissions of Downtown Scenes

The City of Fredericton and Downtown Fredericton are calling all Fredericton artists. Your painting could be featured on a welcome poster which will be designed to welcome conference delegates in downtown area shops and establishments.  We are looking for scenes depicting Downtown Fredericton or the riverfront area. Vibrancy and bright colours are a must. Paintings must have a sense of place and convey the spirit of Downtown Fredericton to our visitors.  No photography please. An artist fee will be paid for the selected work.

Submissions must be submitted by January 15, 2010 by e-mail to: culture@fredericton.ca or dropped off at City Hall, Attn:  Heritage and Cultural Affairs Division, Reference: Welcome Posters.  Please make sure to include your name, the medium, and the name of the artwork as well as a phone number where you can be reached if your work is chosen.   Contact 460-2344 for questions or inquiries.
