City Accepting Applications for Annual Arts, Culture and Heritage Funding Program

Fredericton (January 5, 2010) – Applications are now being accepted for the 2010 City of Fredericton Arts, Culture and Heritage Funding Program.  

The program is designed to encourage new projects or activities in the creative arts, culture and heritage sectors.  Non-profit organizations arts, culture and heritage organizations are eligible for small grants to assist with festivals, events, series, projects, and shared equipment. 

Since the program was established in 2001, support has been provided to a variety of cultural projects and events including music, theatre and film festivals, exhibitions, artists-in-residency programs, theatre productions, heritage publications, concert series, workshops and demonstrations.

The City of Fredericton Arts, Culture and Heritage Funding Program provides grants on an annual basis to the City’s arts and culture communities. Funding for the program was included in the 2010 City of Fredericton budget.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, February 12 at 4:30 p.m.  Application forms and guidelines are available at the Service Centre at City Hall or are online at:  www.fredericton.ca , search: “Grants”.
