Blue Box - Helpful Hints
Metal Food Cans: Tin, steel and aluminium food cans including: soup, spaghetti sauce, vegetable cans, etc.
Plastics: All plastic containers with recycling symbols numbered 1-7 are acceptable. Check the bottom of the container.
Paperboard milk containers.
Unacceptable Materials
- No glass
- No styrofoam
- No plastic toys
- No plastic wrapping, such as stretch wrap
- No plastic bags from gardening products such as fertilizer
- No motor oil containers
- No ceramic dishes
Please ensure items are clean!
Grey Box - Helpful Hints
Newsprint: Newspapers, flyers, magazines, and catalogues.
Cardboard & Boxboard: Please flatten. No waxed cardboard. Please remove plastic liners.
Paper: Envelopes (with or without windows), computer paper, scribblers, coloured and white bond paper, phonebooks, paperback books, cardboard egg cartons
Unacceptable Materials
- No plastic box liners
- No pet food bags
- No waxed paper
- No candy wrapping
- No hardcover books
- No wrapping paper
- No paperboard milk containers
Collect shredded paper in plastic grocery bag and tie at the top.
Please do not put your grey box out on a rainy or snowy day, wet paper is not recyclable!
