City of Fredericton Welcomes Chateau Heights Residents

Fredericton Mayor Mike O’Brien, members of City Council, including Coun. Mark Peters (Ward 2, McLeod / Brookside) and all municipal employees extend a warm welcome the residents of Chateau Heights who will officially become citizens of the City of Fredericton on August 1, 2018.

The City will hold a special welcome celebration and information session for residents in the gymnasium of Royal Road Elementary School on Tuesday, August 14 starting at 7:00 pm.  In addition, residents of the area are reminded that their garbage collection will change from Monday to Tuesday starting August 7, 2018.

“We are excited to be welcoming the residents of Chateau Heights to our city family,” said Fredericton Mayor Mike O’Brien.  “As part of the Ward Boundary review recommendations adopted by City Council in 2015, Ward 2 was designed to accommodate the residents of Chateau Heights when the time came.”

“I am honoured to be representing the residents of Chateau Heights,” said Coun. Mark Peters, Ward 2 – McLeod / Brookside.  “I look forward to getting to the residents of this new area of our city and I encourage them to contact me as they feel necessary.”
