City Seeks Input on Preliminary Lian / Valcour Park Master Plan

The City of Fredericton is seeking input from residents at a public open house to discuss the preliminary park master plan for a new neighbourhood park in the Lian Street and Valcour Drive area of the City. The meeting will be held Tuesday, October 2 at the Holy Family Parish Church, 1500 Hanwell Road from 7-9pm.

The meeting, hosted by Coun. Stephen Chase, City Councillor for Ward 9 (Bishop Drive / Odell Park), will serve as the guiding vision for the overall plan that offers the best possible future use for this park space.

Members of the consultant team from Trace Planning and Design, will present conceptual drawings and the preliminary master plan for the new recreational space, built on public feedback and suggestions from residents and staff gathered during two previous public meetings in June 2018 and November 2016.

City staff will also be on hand to answer questions and receive public feedback. Public input from the meeting will form the basis of further discussion around the future plan and its development.

The City looks forward to exploring your thoughts at this important session. For more information, contact the City Clerk’s Office at 506-460-2857 or cityclerk@fredericton.ca or visit www.fredericton.ca/parkplans.
