Fall Leaf Pickup Set for October 29 to November 2 and November 12 to 16

The City of Fredericton’s annual Fall Leaf Pickup will take place this year during the weeks of October 29-November 2 and November 12-16.

Residents are reminded that only compostable paper leaf bags will be accepted.  Leaf pickup is expected to coincide with regular garbage / recycling days. Please pile leaf bags separately from household garbage. The one week gap in the leaf pickup program allows residents to continue raking leaves that fall later in the season.

“Great participation by city residents has brought continuing growth to the city’s Fall Leaf Pickup program,” said Coun. John MacDermid, Chair of the City’s Public Safety & Environment Committee. “The upcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend is often a convenient time for many to begin their fall clean up. In order to continue to improve the success of our program, I’d like to remind folks who begin their clean up now, to hold any compostable waste until our designated pickup dates.”
