Flooding expected in Fredericton; now is the time to #GetPrepared

River levels are expected to exceed flood stage in Fredericton over the coming days.  Are you ready?  Now is the time to #GetPrepared.

Pack a 72-hour emergency kit, move items to higher ground, run errands, gas up vehicles, pick up food. For more information on getting prepared, visit Fredericton.ca/EMO and look for the Flooding menu item.

Heading into the Easter long weekend, the City's EMO continues to monitor the situation.

For the most current information on river levels, sand bags, parking in the downtown, transit, and other information intended to keep you safe, visit Fredericton.ca/RiverWatch.

Over the next few days, barricades will be placed on roadways to direct traffic. These barricades are not suggestions, and meant to keep people and property safe.

Residents are advised to be careful along flood water's edge; river currents are strong.  Flood waters carry debris not safe for contact with people or family pets. Conditions are not safe for boaters, so please stay off the waterways.
