Kick Start your Summer at Killarney Lake Park with the ParticipACTION 150 Playlist

In celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation, the City of Fredericton invites the public to kick start the summer with the mayor and the ParticipACTION 150 Playlist at Killarney Lake Park.

Mayor Mike O’Brien will open the event on June 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Killarney Lake Rotary Centennial Lodge, followed by a walk, jog, or run around the Lake trail. Playlist events continue throughout the day, wrapping up at 4 p.m.; drop in for one event, or stay for them all.

“This is your starting point for all things active this summer,” said Mayor O’Brien. “No matter what your age, skill level, or interest, there is an activity for you and everyone in your family to try. I look forward to seeing you there!”

Frederictonians are encouraged to try as many of the Playlist activities as possible. After the day’s events, participants can sign into the ParticipACTION playlist website and check off their accomplishments. Please come prepared with appropriate clothing, snacks, and sun protection.

About the ParticipACTION 150 Play List

To celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, ParticipACTION created the ParticipACTION 150 Play List - the ultimate list of all the physical activities that make us Canadian. Throughout 2017 every Canadian, in all communities, schools and workplaces from coast to coast to coast, will be challenged to complete as many physical activities on the list as possible, track their efforts online and earn rewards along the way. The ParticipACTION 150 Play List is a collaborative effort supported by the Government of Canada, premier corporate partners Manulife, Chevrolet and Shaw, the Government of B.C., the Government of Newfoundland & Labrador and national media partner Corus.
