Notice of Construction: Waterloo Row

The City of Fredericton Engineering & Operations Department advises motorists that on Monday July 10th, periodic single lane closures will begin on Waterloo Row (approximately 400m west of Dunn’s Crossing) between 9am and 4pm with traffic being controlled by flaggers. 

Lane restrictions will be in place for approx (2) weeks and a full road closure will begin on Monday July 24th, when Waterloo Row is expected to remain closed for four (4) weeks.

During the closure traffic will be re-routed via Wilsey Road, Kimble Drive, and Forest Hill Road.

Transit will detour as follows:

  • The 116 / 216 and Route 20/18 will detour Forest Hill, Kimble, to Wilsey.
  • The 11S, Kimble, Wilsey,  Lincoln Road, Dunns, Biggs and back on route.
  • The 10N, Biggs, Dunns, Lincoln Road, Wilsey, Kimble, and back on Route.

Pedestrian access will be maintained via the Trail.

This closure is necessary for work required on the City’s underground infrastructure.

Construction is expected to be ongoing for seven 7 weeks.
