Recycling Bins Relocated to Capital Winter Club

May 19, 2016 - The City of Fredericton’s recycling bins located at the City’s south side depot at 1581 Regent Street will be moved their new home at the Capital Winter Club (CWC), 232 Rookwood Avenue, on May 24, 2016. The new site is in the South-East corner of the CWC parking lot.

The bins at this new location are there by the invitation of the CWC, so please assist in keeping the area around the bins clean.  Some other points to consider when using the City’s recycling bin locations:

  • The depots complement the city's current blue box / grey box curbside recycling program, and take the same recyclable materials. The bins are for use by apartment and condominium residents only, and not for commercial users.
  • If the bins are full; please take your material home and return at a later time or check out one of the other bin locations.
  • If possible, use the bins during weekdays.  This will allow the City to more easily monitor their use and coordinate the replacement of full bins.
  • Please do not leave recyclable material beside the bins; they can blow away or get wet and become unrecyclable.
  • Do not leave garbage, broken household items, hazardous waste, etc. on site. These items can be taken to the Fredericton Region Solid Waste landfill.
  • Many community groups will willingly accept gently used household items, etc.
