Special household garbage collection for residents of Lower Saint Mary’s and Devon

The City of Fredericton will be providing a special household garbage collection to the residents of Lower Saint Mary’s and Devon affected by flooding.  On Monday April 29, 2019 a Fero truck will be stationed at the following locations:

  • McMinniman Court near the intersection of Riverside Drive from 7:00 am to 9:00 am;
  • Timber Lane near the intersection of Riverside Drive from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon; and
  • The driveway entrance to Carleton Park opposite Gibson Street from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

This service is subject to Riverside and Union being opened to traffic.

Service will be available for local residents who are affected by road closures on Monday, April 29, 2019 and who did not receive curbside collection on Monday, April 22, 2019.  Please bring only bags or wheeled carts to the truck.

The service does not include recyclable materials and is for regular household garbage only - not for flood damaged household goods or furniture. A separate collection for flood damaged material will be arranged later in May.

Depending on water levels, a similar service may be established for some of the Lincoln Road area later in the week.
