Be Cautious and Avoid Internet Scam

The Fredericton Police wish to remind the public to exercise caution when communicating with individuals over the Internet

When you use the Internet to buy or sell items, for social media and dating websites, it is important not to provide personal information to someone you do not know, such as your address or work schedule.

Recently, cases have been reported to the Police that involve individuals communicating with unknown people over the Internet and arrangements were made to meet. While the homeowner was away from the home, their residence had been broken into and property was stolen.

Any suspicious activity or communications can be reported to the Fredericton Police Force at 311 Queen St, Fredericton, NB or by phone 506-460-2300.
