Male Arrested Faces Multiple Drug Charges

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Friday September 8, 2017, members of the Fredericton Police Force’s Drug Crime Team, with the assistance of the Neighborhood Action Team and K9 arrested a male for possession for the purpose of trafficking on the city’s Southside.

Police seized a quantity of drugs suspected to be cocaine, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, hashish and marijuana. The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $ 27 000. Police also seized approximately $16 500 in cash.

Jason Clarence Martin 46 year-old will appear in court on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. for a show cause hearing. Martin faces charges drug related charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and proceeds of crime.

The investigation is ongoing and police will not be releasing any further information at this time.
