Man Facing Charges in Multiple Break and Enters

A 25-year old Fredericton man is facing seven charges in connection with multiple break and enters around the city over the past few months.  Ryan Bradley Thomas has been charged with five counts of break and enter, one count of attempted break and enter, and one count of obstruction of a police officer. More charges are anticipated.

Mr. Thomas was arrested on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 by members of the Fredericton Police Force Street Crimes, and Drugs and Organized Crimes, after intercepting him during an attempted break and enter. He was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

Thomas was identified as a suspect following extensive investigation by Fredericton Police Street Crimes and Drug and Organized Crimes, and initial work by Patrols, who also supported during the arrest. Police believe he is responsible for dozens of break and enters in Fredericton and in other jurisdictions.

The Forensic Identification Section and K-9 Team also provided valuable support in processing the scenes and article searches.

Thomas will appear in court again on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.
