Nominations now being accepted for the Cst. Craig Bailey Crime Prevention Memorial Award

The Fredericton Community Crime Prevention Council established the Cst. Craig Bailey Crime Prevention Memorial Award to recognize the commitment of Citizens, Volunteers or Police Officers in Fredericton who are directly related with police crime prevention initiatives and who have made a significant contribution to the creation of a safer community.

The Bailey Crime Prevention Memorial Award is presented in honour and memory of the late Constable Craig Bailey who was a dedicated member of the Fredericton Police Force from 1984 to 1998.  Constable Bailey was active in crime prevention as he performed his duties as a community police officer.

Community safety is a very important issue.  The Fredericton Police would like to encourage and acknowledge partnerships between police and community in crime prevention initiatives.  Please consider a candidate who meets the following criteria and is worthy of outstanding recognition for their efforts in the area of police related crime prevention. 

  1. Resident of the Fredericton area.
  2. A Fredericton Police Officer, auxiliary police officer, citizen, or group of citizens of Fredericton    who work directly with the Fredericton Police on crime prevention initiative(s) or program(s).
  3. Have actively contributed an outstanding amount of time, energy, support or resources to a Police crime prevention initiative during the past two years in Fredericton.
