Emergency Preparedness

Almost by definition an emergency is something you didn’t see coming – which means they’re difficult to prepare for. Just think about the impact would an ice storm, blizzard, prolonged power outage, fire, flood, or other disaster might have on you and your family. It’s important to know the risks, have a plan, and be prepared with an emergency kit for your home and your car – and to take it with you in case of an evacuation.

In an emergency, first responders will be dealing with those most affected. All residents need to be prepared to take care of themselves and their families for a minimum of 72 hours. Could you do that if you need to? Why not take a few minutes now to prepare. It’s not hard to do and can be invaluable in the event of an emergency. Use the resources provided to get started.
