Man Charged In Association To Fatal Hit And Run
50 year old Kevin Donald West of Minto made an appearance in Fredericton Provincial Court this morning (Feb. 19th) on a charge associated to the hit and run investigation that claimed the life of 33 year old Dianne Trottier on August 29th, 2009. The Fredericton Police Force confirm that following continued investigation, Kevin West voluntarily came into the Police Station on the evening of Feb. 18th, 2010 where he was taken into custody and held for the Friday morning court appearance. Mr. West has been charged with ‘accessory after the fact’ under Section 463(b) of the Criminal Code, in that he allegedly assisted Darcie West for the purpose of enabling her to escape civil or criminal liability. Following a brief court appearance, Mr. West was remanded for a showcause hearing scheduled for February 24th at 9:30 a.m.
