Log Your Laps
Log-Your-Laps is a free walking program held seasonally on the walking track at the Willie O'Ree Place. In this program interested walkers record the number of laps of the track they walk. The total number of laps are converted into kilometres and combined with the totals of all the other program participants. The resulting distance is tracked and illustrated on a map at Willie O'Ree Place. This program is fun, free, and open to everyone! So come on out and walk at Willie O'Ree Place.

MOMS on the MOVE!
‘Moms on the Move’ is a free, one-hour walking program that is held once per week during the summer months. All 5km walks begin at the Trail Visitors Centre on Station St. These walks are intended as exercise for the adults so please bring your stroller, snuggly, or other mode of baby transportation for the little ones.
Dads and other caregivers are always welcome. The walking schedule for the 2010 summer season will be available in May, please call 460-2230 or e-mail movethisway@fredericton.ca.
Mayor's Activity Awards 
An exciting awards program which encourages healthy eating and physical activity for youth aged 6 – 12 years
Our popular activity awards program is being upgraded for 2010! The new version will be online and individualized to provide a challenge for every child who participates. Walk to Run
Walk to Run is a free 8 (fall) or 12 (summer) week program for those aged 14 and over. The Walk to Run program transitions you gradually from walking to running. The Walk to Run program targets people who are seasoned walkers and looking for a new challenge. This program is offered based on public demand. Better Bones Exercise Program
The Better Bones program was designed for, and is targeted to persons with Osteoporosis. The optimal goal of the program is to reduce the rate of bone loss by providing a safe, effective, sensible and supervised program of bone loading exercises for persons who have been diagnosed with Osteoporosis. By its very nature, the program is a basic, entry-level fitness program and therefore may be suitable for many individuals who for a variety of reasons need a gentle, easy program.
Types of exercises include: Walking; Gentle range of motion exercises; Work with light hand weights (1-5lbs per hand); Working against light resistance (with resistance tubing / small balls / bands); Postural & balance exercises (for fall prevention). Fee is $ 3.00 per class for city residents and community partners) and $ 3.50 per class for all others

Saturday Morning Wu Style Tai Chi
During these free classes learn the basics of proper body alignment for better posture, balance, coordination and flexibility with Wu Style Tai Chi. Learn how to increase your functional lung capacity by increasing your body awareness and letting go of restricting tension throughout your body. Be a more relaxed, focused, confident you. This program is sponsored by Business Fredericton North with additional assistance from Ducks Unlimited.
When: 9:00am -10:00am on Saturday mornings from June 5th – July 31st.
Where: Carleton Park (rain or shine).
This is a free program open to all interested individuals aged 14 and over.
No experience necessary, beginners are welcome. Register at the first class you attend!
