General Information
The South Riverfront Trail follows the Saint John River from the Delta Hotel at one end to the Salamanca Trail at the other end It passes by a number of scenic locations such as Old Government House, The Downtown core, Old Garrison District, Lighthouse Adventure Centre, Officers Square, The Beaverbrook Art gallery, Christ Church Cathedral, Trans Canada Trail Pavilion and many picturesque homes along Waterloo Row. The trail intersects with the Old Train bridge near Christ Church Cathedral. The trail is a 30-minute walk each way and trail is the most used trail in the city.
Parking
Parking is available at the Delta Hotel, behind the Victoria Health Centre, at the bottom of Carleton St. near the Library, Morell Park on Waterloo Row near the ball field, and metered parking along Queen St.
Accessibility
The trail has a smooth and level crusher dust surface which makes it easily accessible to all users. The trail is quite wide with only one grade leading up to the Old Train Bridge.
Things to see and do
The trail offers a scenic walk along the Saint John River. It passes the Delta and Crowne Plaza Hotels and is close to many restaurants and tourist attractions in the Downtown Core. Bicycles can be rented at the Lighthouse Adventure Centre.

Natural Environment
The trail follows along the Saint John River in an open scenic environment. There are large Oak and Pine trees on the grounds of Old Government House.
