Requests for weekly or individual gym times for evenings or weekends during the school year can be made for the following community schools:

•  Alexander Gibson
•  Barker's Point
•  Devon Middle
•  Garden Creek
•  Liverpool
•  Park Street
•  Priestman Street
•  Royal Road
•  Fredericton High School
•  Leo Hayes
•  Nashwaaksis Field House

The cost to rent one hour of gym time is $25.00 (plus tax), double gym is $40/hr plus tax

The cost to rent a court at the Nashwaaksis Field house for one hour is $ 20.00 (plus tax)

School Gym Regulations

• All footwear worn outdoors must be removed upon entering.
• Participants must follow the direction of Recreation Division Supervisors.
• Areas/equipment not required by your group will remain locked. If you need access to these areas or equipment please see the Recreation Division Supervisor.
• Only hockey sticks with plastic blades are to be used in the gyms.
• Ensure that a group leader is present and responsible for the supervision of program participants and spectators.
• There will be NO FOOD OR DRINK permitted in the gyms.
• You are responsible for your own set-up and take-down of equipment. This is to be done during your scheduled rental time.
• You should bring a game ball of your own if you wish to have a quality ball. Our equipment is used daily and may not meet your standards.
• We are not responsible for lost/stolen equipment or personal items.
• Groups must accept full responsibility for any damages or loss of equipment.

If Recreation Division Supervisors need to stay beyond their normal supervisory hours to clean-up after your group, you will be invoiced for the additional time. Report all problems or concerns to the Community Services Department.

 Gym Unavailability (Please note the following):

• All gyms are closed on Statutory Holidays. Gyms are closed when the schools are closed for storm days.
• Special events may also cancel your event from time to time. Your group will be informed well in advance of your scheduled activity.
• District 18 reserves the right to book the gymnasium for their activities over the City of Fredericton scheduled events.
• At times due to circumstances beyond our control, regular group bookings may be cancelled at the last minute. However we will try to inform all user groups as soon as we are informed.
  
  Request for gym time must be made at least one week in advance. Request less than one week in advance will be dependent upon staff availability.
