Special Flood Debris Pick Up

We will be offering a special debris pick-up service for those in flooded areas starting May 6th and running until May 24th.

  • This special service is separate from the annual Spring Yard Clean-up, which also begins May 6th.

Please put any household flood debris or large debris from your property at the roadside.  These materials should be piled away from regular household garbage and recycling materials, as well as Spring Clean up materials. Sand bags may be disposed of with flood debris.

Any household hazards materials should be also piled separate from flood debris. They can also be taken to the Fredericton Solid Waste Commission every Wednesday or Saturday.

People should start tearing out wet building materials as soon as possible to avoid mold build up. Do not burn flood debris, as this can cause negative environmental impacts. Illegal dumping is also prohibited and offenders are subject to fines.

People wishing to independently dispose of non-hazardous items may take them directly to the Fredericton Solid Waste Commission.
