City’s monthly parking rates to increase

Fredericton (January 31) – New monthly rates at City-owned, off-street parking facilities come into effect on February 1, 2012. The changes were announced during the 2012 City Budget approval last December.

The new monthly rates will be as follows:

• Brunswick St. Garage - $95.00 (up from $93)
• Frederick Sq. Garage - $64.00 (up from $62)
• York St. Carpark - $95.00 (up from $93)
• Upper Queen Parking Lot - $43.00 (up from $42)
• York House Lot - $85.00
• Brunswick Garage-reserved - $170.00
• East End Garage- weekdays only 6 am -6 pm - $95 or a 24/7 permit - $105

This is the first increase to monthly parking rates since 2007.  On-street metered parking and pay-by-space rates will remain the same.
