Fredericton (January 4) – The City of Fredericton is now accepting applications from community groups and agencies interested in participating in the City’s Transit Fare Assistance Program for 2012.
The program is designed to provide additional support to community groups as they assist their clients’ efforts to attend medical appointments, access education and training, seek employment or visit service providers. The program will operate throughout 2012 and will include the Dial-A-Bus service.
Applications for the program can be obtained on-line at the City’s website www.fredericton.ca or at the Community Services Office, 335 Queen Street.
In 2011, the program provided 250 dial-a-bus tickets and 5,350 regular single ride Fredericton Transit tickets to 27 community agencies to help their clients.
The deadline for returned applications is January 20, 2012.
