Use of City Snow Storage Facility for 2010-2011

If you plan on using the City Snow Storage Facility off of Wallace avenue this coming winter, please follow these requirements:

• There will be a registration fee of $300 for each company hauling to the snow storage facility, as well as a $100 per truck fee for each truck that is registered to haul snow. 

The fees are due to the City of Fredericton incurring considerable costs to modify the snow storage facility so it will be acceptable to adjacent property owners and to the  environment regulators.  Additional on-going expenditures will be required.

Snow Storage Guidelines:

• The snow storage facility is divided in two by a berm.
• Contractors dump furthest away from entrance.
• City crew's dump closest to entrance.
• Contractors are responsible to arrange for pushing back ALL snow they dump.
• Do NOT push snow to the west into the adjacent stream/brook.
• Dump only in designated areas.
• Contractors are responsible for pushing back their own snow immediately after dumping.
• No banging of tail gates due to noise problems with the surrounding residents.
• Keep speed down on Wallace Ave and haul road into storage facility.
• Empty trucks yield to loaded trucks.
• Registration permits are to be displayed in a visible place at all times.

Hours of Operation:

• Monday-Friday 0730-1600 (If in use by City Crews), 2130-0730 by request or if being used by City Crews.
• Saturday 2130-0630 by request.
• Sunday 2130-0730 by request.

 You must register to use the snow storage facility by coming to the Engineering & Public Works   Dispatch counter located on the Ground Floor at City Hall.
