The municipal election, scheduled for Fredericton on May 11, 2020, has been delayed due to COVID-19 as per legislation passed by provincial government. 

The Open House is cancelled.*

*Open House for Prospective Municipal Election Candidates

Monday, March 23, 6 to 7 p.m.
Location: Council Chamber, Fredericton City Hall

The City of Fredericton and Elections NB will be co-hosting an open house for municipal election candidates on Monday, March 23, at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chamber at Fredericton City Hall.

Attendees will hear from Kim Poffenroth, New Brunswick’s Chief Electoral Officer, Jeff Trail, City of Fredericton Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, as well as outgoing City Councillors John MacDermid, Ward 10, and Stephen Chase, Ward 9.

Following the open house, attendees are welcome to stay and observe the regular City Council meeting starting at 7:30 p.m.
