Payments
The City of Fredericton Service Centre provides residents with a single point of access to a wide range of City services, payments for services, and answers to general inquiries.
We are located at City Hall, 397 Queen Street. Please use the main business entrance at the back. Parking is available on-street or at the York Street Carpark. Business hours are 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and we are closed on holidays.
The Service Centre accepts the following forms of payment: debit, credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express in the account holder’s name), money order, cash, and personal cheque. Online payments should be made 4 (four) days in advance of the bill’s due date to allow for processing.

Water & Sewer Utility Payment Options
Pre-Authorized Payments
You can pay your City of Fredericton Water & Sewer Utility bill with pre-authorized payments from your bank account. Payments are automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the date your bill is due.
A Pre-authorized Payment Application is available online, at the Service Centre, or you may call Service Fredericton at 506-460-2020 to have one mailed to you.
Telephone / Internet Banking
You can pay your City of Fredericton Water & Sewer Utility bill using the telephone banking system with your own banking institution. It is listed as "Water Fredericton" with most banks. Please use your six-digit location number (it starts with the number 7) as your Account Number when using telephone/internet banking payment options.
Also, you may have the option of paying your City of Fredericton Water & Sewer Utility bill on your bank’s website. Since banking websites vary, check with your branch if you have difficulty finding this option.
Online
You can pay your City of Fredericton Water & Sewer Utility bill online through Service New Brunswick, click here, by Mastercard or Visa.
Please use your six-digit location number (it starts with the number 7) as your Account Number when using online payment options.
Service Centre (In-Person)
The Service Centre accepts the following forms of payment: cash, credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express in the account holder’s name), debit, money order, and personal cheque. Online payments should be made 4 (four) days in advance of the bill’s due date to allow for processing.
You may also pay your City of Fredericton Water & Sewer Utility bill at the following:
- Any Bank of Nova Scotia Fredericton Branch, or
- Northside PharmaChoice, Marysville, 231 Canada Street. They accept cash, cheque, debit, and Visa or Mastercard (credit card surcharge is 3.5%).
COVID-19 Service Centre Health & Safety Protocols
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to change in its scope and impact, the City of Fredericton is doing everything we can to continue to serve customers while keeping health and safety in mind.
When visiting the Service Centre, residents can expect to see COVID-19 health and safety precautionary measures, including hand sanitation station, physical distancing signage, and physical barriers installed at counters that allow for safer interaction with customers. Public Health strongly recommends that the public wear non-medical masks, also referred to as community face masks, when out in the community when physical distancing is challenging.
