Anti-Racism Task Force

In August, the new Mayor and City Council asked the newly formed Office of Community Inclusion to reach out to racialized communities and organizations who prioritize addressing systemic racism in order to get their input on how to form an Anti-Racism Task Force for Fredericton. These are the ways in which we are gathering that input.

  • Cultural community conversations. Please contact the leaders of your cultural communities to see if they are organizing a conversation. Community leaders: if you do host a conversation, please send us the input gathered to
  • Online survey. The survey is an easy-to-use format that can be done at your convenience and is also an opportunity to be heard for those who wish to remain anonymous. Go to the survey in ENGLISH | en FRANÇAIS
  • Telephone line. You can also call 506 471-3694 during office hours: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

With all the input gathered by November 3, we will put together the terms of reference for the Anti-Racism Task Force, ask the main social organizations to nominate members to the Task Force and then place a public call for applications for additional members to the Task Force.
