Age Friendly Community Advisory Committee Seeing Volunteers

The City of Fredericton is looking for interested city residents to fill up to four (4) vacancies on the Age-Friendly Community Advisory Committee

Committee members provide advice and recommendations to City Council regarding issues that impact the quality of life of seniors in Fredericton and act as a resource for City staff, by providing advice and information on the City’s policies, programs and service delivery that affect seniors.

The Age Friendly Community Advisory Committee consists of 10-16 members who are appointed for two-year terms, subject to possible reappointment. A member of Council chairs the committee. Committee meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at 2 pm.

These are volunteer positions and, as such, no remuneration is provided. 

The Age-Friendly Community Advisory Committee is committed to equitable representation and is looking for individuals within the community of Fredericton who will bring diverse or differing experience and complementary skills.

Interested candidates are asked to submit to the undersigned a one-page summary of their background, skills and a brief statement of their beliefs about the benefits of Age-Friendly Communities on or before September 30, 2022
