Get the scoop at the Mayor’s Ice Cream Social this weekend!

In honour of National Ice Cream Day, Mayor Kate Rogers will be hosting a Mayor’s Ice Cream Social at the Wilmot Park Bandstand this weekend, near the Wilmot Splash Pad. The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Sunday, July 17.

“What better way to celebrate National Ice Cream Day than with a scoop of ice cream in one of Fredericton’s most beautiful parks?” said Mayor Kate Rogers. “Join me in Wilmot Park to enjoy some live entertainment and cool down with a tasty treat that’ll taste just like home.”

The ice cream social is welcome to everyone and is a chance for residents to gather and catch up. A variety of flavoured ice cream will be available from the Queen Street Creamery by Chess Piece.

The Sunday event will also feature live music from local musician Joel Miller and company. If it rains, the Mayor’s Ice Cream social will be postponed to Wednesday, July 20 between 6 and 8 p.m. at the same location.

Come out and enjoy live music, free ice cream and your chance to meet with Fredericton’s mayor at Wilmot Park this weekend.
