NBEX and City Launch Engagement on Exhibition Grounds Site Development

Fredericton residents can weigh in on the future of the New Brunswick Exhibition Grounds as part of the first phase in the development plan for the site. Guided by a partnership between the New Brunswick Exhibition and City of Fredericton, the project seeks to craft a Site Development Plan for the exhibition grounds’ redevelopment that is future-focused while remaining respectful of the site’s almost 150-year agricultural legacy.

Residents can have their voices heard in different ways:

  • By signing up for an open house at the NBEX on October 1st by visiting the City’s new public engagement www.engagefredericton.ca (attendance will be capped at 50 people per 45-minute time slot to ensure everyone’s safety in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic).
  • By completing an online survey on www.engagefredericton.ca starting Sept 22. Those residents who are unable to attend the open house will have the same opportunities to have their voices heard through the survey.
  • For members of organizations with an interest in the NBEX development, taking part in stakeholder workshops on Sept 29 and Sept 30. Those interested in attending stakeholder workshops can follow the email link at www.engagefredericton.ca.
