Photo Trail in Honour of 2020 Fredericton Graduates

The City of Fredericton extends congratulations to the 2020 high school graduates of Fredericton High, Leo Hayes, the Fredericton Christian Academy and Ecole Sainte Anne, and has planned a special photo trail in celebration of their achievements.

Given that graduation and prom events have been impacted due to COVID-19, the City of Fredericton has arranged for four photo opportunity locations running June 15-19, 12:00-7:00 pm daily, where graduates are encouraged to take photos in their prom formal attire, graduation gowns or outfit of choice as they graduate in the year of COVID-19.  Students can upload their photos to Instagram using the hashtag #FredGrad2020 and be eligible to win local gift card prizes.

“On behalf of my colleagues on Fredericton City Council, I want to recognize our 1,000+ grads...the future leaders of our city. We realize this is a difficult time, but hopefully this will add a bit of fun to their graduation celebrations,” said Mayor Mike O’Brien, City of Fredericton.

Photo op locations include:

  • Carleton Park (Union Street)
  • Odell Park Garden (off Waggoner’s Lane)
  • City Hall (front steps 397 Queen Street)
  • Pedway (Downtown Fredericton)

Parents and students are reminded of social distancing regulations in compliance with New Brunswick’s yellow phase of COVID-19 recovery.
