Charges laid following execution of warrants

On May 27, 2021, the Fredericton Police Drugs and Organized Crime Unit executed CDSA warrants at two residences on Fredericton’s northside, as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. Assisting with the CDSA warrants were members of Patrols, Street Crimes, the K9 Unit, and Forensic Identification Section. One adult male was arrested and faces eleven charges.

38-year old Dustin Porter, of Fredericton, N.B., appeared in Provincial Court on May 28, 2021 on the following charges:

  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession contrary to a prohibition order
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - morphine
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - hydromorphone
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - oxycodone
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule III) for the purpose of trafficking - methylphenidate
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule IV) for the purpose of trafficking - clonazepam
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule IV) for the purpose of trafficking - olanzapine

A vehicle was also searched incident to arrest. Cash, weapons and quantities of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone and other drugs were seized from one of the residences and the vehicle. 

The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $10,335.00.

Mr. Porter will appear in court again on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 1:30 p.m.
