Cop Owen - A lifelong dream come true

Our newest employee may not have attended the academy, but that didn’t stop him from achieving his goal of one day working with the police.

Owen Fraser, along with his co-worker Jonathan Fidler, is responsible for keeping the police fleet clean.

For the officers on Patrols, their police car is their office, and they can sometimes spend 12 hours or more in the vehicle. Ensuring the cars are clean, especially now, is a vital part of our operations.

This new job is a self-described dream come true for Owen. He is so proud to put on his uniform shirt and come to work – helping us fill a gap in our operations and providing him meaningful work experience and important skill development and increased independence.

We are already seeing some exciting changes in the two weeks Owen has been with us. He is building more confidence, and through the positive interactions with officers and staff, his communication skills are also improving.

Jonathan has also been an essential part of Owen’s successful transition into his new role and we are grateful for his support and guidance!

We look forward to continuing to work with ‘Cop Owen’ to help achieve more of his goals!
