
Fredericton Police Force and Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) seize significant amount of drugs
On February 15, 2023, members of the Fredericton Police Force attempted to conduct a stop of a motor vehicle. The vehicle, which had previously been associated to illegal drug activity in the Fredericton area, failed to stop and fled from police. After a short search, the vehicle was located in a parking lot and suspected drugs could be seen through the window.
The members of the Fredericton Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) were contacted to assist with the investigation.
On February 22, 2023 Members of the Fredericton IEU executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant on the vehicle and the following was seized:
- Methamphetamine
- Hydromorphone
- Zopiclone
- Methylphenidate
- Naloxone kit
- Scale
No arrests have yet been made. The investigation is still ongoing.
