Investigation on Saint John River

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021, Fredericton Police and the Fredericton Fire Department were dispatched to the Saint John River near the 100 block of Woodstock Road for a report that an adult male had entered the river and had not come out.

Patrols searched the riverbank, and FLIR and drone technology were both deployed, as was the FFD Marine Unit. At this time the man has yet to be located.

Police have requested the services of emergency response divers, who will be conducting an underwater search this morning.
