One Dead and One Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision

One male has died and another was injured, following a two-vehicle collision on Route 105 earlier today in Fredericton.

On Friday, November 27, 2020 at approximately 3:55 p.m., Fredericton Police patrol officers, as well as the Fredericton Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a two-vehicle collision on Route 105, west of Royal Road.

One of the drivers, a 21-year old male, was pronounced dead at the scene. Next-of-kin has been notified. The second driver, a 52 year-old male was transported to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, with assistance from Fredericton Police Criminal Investigations, Forensic Identification and Accident Reconstruction.

The road was closed for several hours and has since reopened.
