
Three people arrested; one charged with drug and weapons offenses
Three people were arrested, and a quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia was seized as part of an ongoing drug investigation by the Fredericton Police
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on January 21, 2021, members of the Fredericton Police Drugs and Organized Crime and Street Crimes Units conducted a traffic stop on Route 2, just west of Fredericton, N.B.
A 31-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both from Perth Andover, N.B, and a 29-year-old man from Grand Fall, N.B. were arrested at the scene. A quantity of what is believed to be methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a knife was seized incident to arrest.
The 31-year-old man had attempted to conceal drugs and was in possession of a knife during the arrest. He was later released on strict conditions with a promise to appear in Fredericton Provincial Court on March 26, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. to answer to charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
The female was release on conditions with a promise to appear in Fredericton Provincial Court on March 24, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.to face a charge of failing to comply with an undertaking. The 29-year-old man was also released and was issued an appearance notice for an unrelated P.O.P.A. offense.
The investigation is ongoing.
