Two arrested in connection with homicide investigation

On Monday, May 25, 2020, Fredericton Police executed a search warrant at a residence on the City’s southside.

As a result, a 20-year old male and a 21-year old female were arrested, and are expected to appear in court tomorrow in connection with the murder of 31-year old Clarke Earnest Greene. Until such time as charges are laid, we are not able to release their identities.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 8:10 a.m., Fredericton Police, as well as the Fredericton Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to the north side of Wilmot Park, adjacent to Woodstock Road, for reports of an adult male lying on the ground. The male, later identified as Mr. Greene, had sustained significant injuries and was declared deceased, and had been the victim of homicide.

An evidence search was completed with the assistance of Fredericton Police and Public Safety K-9 Teams, as well as York Sunbury Search and Rescue, as well as a significant neighbourhood canvas.

The Fredericton Police wish to thank the public for their assistance, as well as their patience in recent weeks while officers conducted their investigation, which remains ongoing.
