UPDATED - Police investigating fire; two people arrested

Earlier today, January 26, 2021, 28-year-old Amber Koale Davis and 30-year-old Mitchell Ryan Keenan appeared in Fredericton Provincial Court by telephone, in relation to an incident on Lincoln Road yesterday.

Ms. Davis, of Fredericton, N.B. was charged with one count each of:

  • Arson disregarding human life
  • Failing to comply with a release order
  • Possession of a prohibited device
  • Possession of CDSA
  • Assaulting a peace officer with a weapon

Mr. Keenan, of Fredericton, N.B., was charged with Arson disregarding human life.

Both were held in custody and will appear in court again on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

Earlier this morning, Monday, January 25, 2021, Fredericton Police were in the 1200-block of Lincoln Road, as part of an ongoing investigation. Shortly before 11:30 a.m. a structure fire broke out at business in the area, and Fredericton Fire responded to assist.  

All occupants were evacuated, and the fire was contained to a portion of the building. Ambulance New Brunswick was standing by, but there were no injuries as a result of the fire. Anyone that was displaced has already been accommodated.

A man and woman were both taken into custody on the scene and remain in custody at this time.

Police remain on site and the investigation ongoing.
