-
Enrollment is based on the level or levels specified by the activity name.
-
In certification programs, the ability to perform skills at a higher level does not automatically ensure certification of skills at a lower level.
-

-
Learn to Swim Programs: Candidates must meet the minimum age and previous level (or equivalent) BEFORE the first day of class.

Unsuccessful Outcome
-
Candidates who are unsuccessful in completing a course may request a review of the course and their skills.
-
In situations where we deem that the course was insufficient or faulty, arrangements will be made by the facility to rectify the issue at our expense.
-
EXCEPT in cases where the Lifesaving Society examination policy does not permit a ‘re-do’ of the exam skills. Arrangements may then be made for a replacement course.
-
Should it be determined that the course was sufficiently delivered, and where the Lifesaving Society Policy permits re-examination through a ‘challenge exam’, any costs associated with re-assessing and evaluating the candidate will solely be the responsibility of the candidate.
Certification Courses – Prerequisites Not Met
-
When it is determined that a candidate does not meet the pre-requisites for a course or activity, their enrollment in that activity will be cancelled and a credit or refund applied to the customer’s account. Every effort is made to ensure this happens prior to the start of classes.
-
In limited circumstances, a candidate may be permitted to begin a vocational course prior to the completing of it’s pre-requisite. However:
-
If the participant does not meet the prerequisites by the end of the course enrolled, no refund or credit will be provided for an incomplete outcome.
-
If a participant will not meet the prerequisites for examination by the end of the course and is withdrawn prior to the end of the course, a prorated credit will be issues.
