The Fredericton Indoor Pool is wheelchair accessible and offers aquatic courses, swimming lessons, public swims, and more:

• Water slide

• Recreational 25m pool
• 92-degree swirl pool
• Sauna

1. Recreational swims are available to all swimmers.

   a. Adult supervision is required of all non-swimmers.

   b. An adult is defined as a parent or guardian over the age of nineteen.

   c. Each adult may supervise up to three children under the age of seven. Adults must be in the water with these children.

2. Family swims are available to adults and their children and to groups consisting of an adult and a maximum of four children.
3. All persons are required to shower and wear appropriate swim wear.
4. Food, glass containers, smoking, vaping, street clothes and shoes are not permitted in the pool area / facility.
5. Persons having contagious disease or appearance of infection will not be permitted to use pool.
    

Safety and conduct rules are posted throughout the pool. Persons failing to comply with rules will be required to leave.

Killarney Lake Beach is a supervised fresh water sandy beach with access to washrooms and change rooms. The lifeguard zone is between the flags and in front of the tower; buoys mark the drop off. Flotation devices and watercrafts should be kept outside the lifeguard zone.

If an unsafe level of E. coli or Enterococci is detected in the lake, a Swim Advisory will be posted at the Lifeguard Station and on the City of Fredericton website and social media.

Water Quality Standards are established by the Guidelines for Canadian Recreational Water Quality available on the Government of Canada website.

The Lifeguards at Killarney Lake Beach use signaling flags to help swimmers identify whether it’s safe to swim.

Red/Yellow Flag: Lifeguards are on duty and swimming is supervised in the buoyed area.

Red Flag: Lifeguards are onsite, but conditions are unsafe for swimming.

No Flag: No lifeguards are on duty and swimming is at your own risk and strongly discouraged.

The Wilmot Splash Pad features:

• Brightly coloured spouts, sprinklers, and a giant bucket
• Shallow water play areas
• Barrier-free access
• Seating and shaded areas
• Onsite washroom
   

• Please walk as splash pad may be slippery
• Please clean feet before entering play area; footwear is recommended
• Swim suits and/or appropriate attire must be worn at all times
• Roughhousing or unsafe play is prohibited
• Do not climb on any part of play structures
• No pets allowed; with the exception of services animals
• No smoking or alcohol permitted
• Children who are not toilet trained must wear rubber pants or swim diaper
• All children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult
• Glass, metal objects, soap and all other materials that would create hazardous conditions are not permitted
• In case of electrical storm please vacate the splash pad
• Athletic equipment, balls, bats, beach balls, pool noodles, etc. are not permitted

1. Public Swims swims are available to all swimmers.

   a. Parental or guardian supervision is required of all non-swimmers. Guardian may be an older sibling or baby-sitter (12years+) and can supervise 2 children under the age of 7, and must be in the water with these children.

   b. Parents or guardians who are 16yo+ may supervise up to four children under the age of seven, and must be in the water with these children.

   c. Specialized swims may have different admission requirements. Please see specific swims for variations.

• Parents/guardians can only take photos or videos of their own children. 
• Secure all valuables. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
• Dive only in designated areas.
• Parents/guardians must always be attentive and engaged with their group.
• Users with known medical conditions (ie. seizures) may wish to notify Lifeguard station.
• Children/youth in floatation devices must always be within-arms-reach of a parent/guardian.
• All users must shower and wear appropriate swim attire (clean, lightweight, non-binding clothing) before entering the pool area. Patio users must shower and don swim attire if going into the pool area. 
• Inflatable float toys, snorkels and diving masks are not permitted within the swimming area.
• Smoking, vaping and alcohol are not permitted in the facility or within the park area.
• Food or beverages (other than water) are not permitted.
• Strollers, skateboards, bicycles etc., must be kept outside of the facility.
• Glass, metal objects, and all other materials that may cause hazardous conditions are not permitted.
• Please remove all outdoor footwear before entering the facility
• We encourage the use of sunscreen; follow the manufacturer's directions prior to swimming or sun exposure.
• Please walk – floors and pool deck are slippery when wet.
• Foul language, roughhousing, unsafe play and unnecessary spouting of water is prohibited. 
• Children who wear diapers must wear rubber pants or swim diapers.
• The pool will be closed in the event of inclement weather (electrical storm, excessive rainfall, or low water temperature).

Children under the age of 10 who require a flotation device must be accompanied in the water at all times by a guardian (15 years of age or older).

During this swim, for men and boys only, the pool is staffed with male lifeguards and the blinds are lowered to provide a safe space for you and your friends!

During this swim, for women and girls only, the pool is staffed with female lifeguards and the blinds are lowered to provide a safe space for you and your friends!

This swim is offered to swimmers who identify as Trans, Gender Diverse, or Two-Spirited, as well as their friends and family.

Ages: Children 5 and under accompanied by a Parent/Guardian

This swim is open to pre-school aged children and their parents or guardians and offers slow pace, low sensory swimming.

This swim offers swimmers continuous swimming in a lane speed matched to their ability. Swimmers must be able to continuously swim the length of the pool.

Ages: 50+

This swim is provided for those 50 years and older and offers swimmers continuous swimming in a lane speed matched to their ability and space to recreational swim in a more social setting.

During this swim, activities in the pool are adjusted for a calmer experience, ensuring a safe and fun swim for everyone!
