Recreation Fees: all facility rentals, programs, lessons & pool fees (PDF)
Recreation Service Agreements: provide participating areas (by civic address) recreation services at the same level/cost as City residents.

Who needs a Rec Card?
Anyone playing in sports programs using City of Fredericton indoor ice and sports fields or those registering for municipal day camps and outdoor swim lessons.

Do I need a Recreation card for drop-in activities like public skating?
No, you do not need a Recreation card for drop-in activities such as public skating, use of walking tracks, use of City parks and playgrounds, or for programs at the Fredericton Indoor Pool.

How do I apply for my free Recreation Card?
Cards are free to City residents and Recreation Service Agreements participating communities. Staff will verify your address is within these boundaries and issue a Rec Card to your online account.

If you live outside these boundaries you will be notified to make a payment before your Rec Card can be issued.

How do I buy a Recreation Card online?
Residents who fall outside the boundaries may purchase a Recreation Card online. Select the applicable card and click "add to cart". Complete the payment process.

Where can I view my Recreation Card?
Your Recreation Card and number can be found by logging into your Recreation account and clicking on ‘Memberships’.

Does each person obtain their own Recreation Card?
Yes – it is one card per person. For example: if your daughter plays hockey and your son plays baseball, they would each need one.

Do I need a new card every year?
Yes, cards are valid from January 1st to December 31st. However, cards from previous the year are valid to finish out a season.

For example, a 2020 Rec Card will cover the member until the end of the hockey season in March of 2021, as the season began in 2020. The member will need to purchase a 2021 card to register for activities beginning in 2021.
