Permit & Hourly Parking

In efforts to make parking as simple and convenient as possible for residents, the City of Fredericton is pleased to offer virtual parking permits, as available, through HotSpot Parking Inc.

A virtual permit system managed by HotSpot on behalf of the City enables customers to:

  • Purchase and manage available single calendar month and long-term monthly virtual permit parking.

Single calendar month and long-term monthly parking permit information, including current availability, steps for purchasing a permit when available, frequently ask questions, and contact information for permit technical support, are available on the HotSpot website and the HotSpot app.

HotSpot also offers, on behalf of the City, the ability to make hourly payments at on-street parking meters and in off-street City-owned surface parking lots and City-owned parking garages. This hourly parking system enables customers to:

  • Pay for hourly parking
  • Stop your parking session if you return to your vehicle before your time expires
  • Top-up hourly parking time (within maximum time limits)
  • Receive text notifications of parking time expiry.
