Regent Street Off-Peak Parking
For people who choose to drive into the downtown of any city, parking can be a challenge. In order to help ease the strain, and in response to downtown businesses’ requests, the City of Fredericton has added 14 off-peak parking spots to Regent Street, between Queen and King. This pilot project is about more than adding convenient curbside parking—it also gives pedestrians a physical buffer between moving vehicles when walking along Regent Street.
Parking is permitted in the evening after 7 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Monday to Saturday, and 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. Please note that overnight parking bylaws remain in place. Signage on Regent will identify and remind drivers where and when off-peak parking is permitted.
